As part of the historical reform to open 6 National Midwifery Training Institutes, the second institution is launched in Uttar Pradesh on Friday 24th June with the commencements of a course called Nurse Practitioner in Midwifery Educator (NPME).

College of Nursing in Lala Rajpat Rai Medical College (LLRM) Meerut organized a grand ceremony with presence of nurses and multiple stakeholders of midwifery.

The first institute was opened in Maharashtra last month in Kasturba Health Society's Kasturba Nursing College and the launching of the second institution is the sign of fast pace implementation of the vision shared in the documents of midwifery reforms.

There will be many more institutions opening under states apart from 6 national level institution.
