About Us

Healthcare news for nurses, by nurses. An independent publication serving Indian nurses since 2020.

Last updated: May 2026

Our mission

Nursing News India reports on the policy, education, jobs, and clinical-practice news that shapes nursing in India. We publish for nurses — students entering the profession, staff nurses on the ward, nurse educators, administrators, and the wider public who care about the people who deliver most of India’s healthcare.

Why we exist

India has 3.3 million registered nurses but very few publications speak directly to them. Most health journalism in India is written for doctors or general readers. Nursing News treats nurses as the primary audience, not an afterthought. Our story selection, our framing, and our contributors are all anchored to that perspective.

What we cover

Who we are

Nursing News India is published by Hormones River Media. Our editorial team is led by Rajendra Sharma, RN, RM, with contributions from a rotating roster of nurse-journalists across India. Clinical accuracy is reviewed by our Advisory Panel of senior nurses and physicians.

How we make money

Nursing News sustains itself through display advertising, sponsored content (clearly labelled), newsletter sponsorships, and a related super-app called NursingAtoms. Full details are on our Ownership and Funding page.
