NHM, Uttarakhand Opens Door to 115 Aspirants for Succouring in Healthcare Services

National Health Mission (NHM), Uttarakhand Health & Family Welfare Society (UKHFWS), Department of Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Govt. of Uttarakhand with an aim to accomplish improved implementation of public health programmes and to facilitate comprehensive primary health care service delivery has called for online applications for 115 seats for the Certificate Program of Community Health of 6 months run by Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU).


The course is a viable initiative by Department of MH&FW, Govt. of Uttarakhand under National Health Mission, Uttarakhand that serves as an opportunity for enthusiasts who were waiting in wings to serve in the healthcare services. The candidates successfully setting the seal on this course will be recruited as Community Health Officer (CHO) or Mid Level Health Provider (MLHP) at Sub-centres to lead a primary health care team of frontline workers which includes Auxiliary nurse midwifes(ANMs), Multipurpose Health Workers(MPWs) and Accredited Social Health Activists (ASHAs).

Eligibilty Criteria for applying for the aforementioned course is as follows:
Educational Qualifications:


• The applicant must have passed General Nursing and Midwifery/ B. Sc. (Nursing) from any recognised institution or university.
• He/she registered with any Nursing Council in India is requisite.
• If the candidate gets selected and opts to pursue for this course, he/she must have to be registered with Uttarakhand Nursing Council.


Age Limit: For General Category (reserved category candidates from states other than Uttarakhand will also fall under this) age limit is upto 35 years. For the SCs and STs, for Unreserved Category’s Specially Able and Dependent of Freedom Fighters and for OBC Category’s Specially Able & Dependent of Freedom Fighter, the upper age limit is of 40 years (as on 1st October, 2020). For Ex-Servicemen from all Categories, age will be calculated by deduction of the total service years and addition of 3 years.

The Last date of filling the online application form is 7th November, 2020. Applications submitted after that will not be entertained in any case.

A Provisional Merit List of selected candidates prepared on the basis of filled online application form will be uploaded within 07 days after the last date of submission of online form on the website only and the shortlisted candidates will be called for Counselling.
