Lately, the Indian Army has promulgated a notification for inviting virtual applications only from female candidates for admission to 4 years B.Sc (Nursing) course. Post the successful completion of nursing training of a span of 4 years, the aspirants will be granted either permanent or short service commission in the Military Nursing Service. The number of vacancies available are yet not disclosed.
Virtual applications are invited from the candidates who fulfilled the required eligibility criteria:
- Educational Qualification: Candidates must have qualified in their initial attempt the higher secondary examination with Biology (Botany and Zoology), Physics and Chemistry and English with minimum of 50% aggregates from any recognized Board.
Candidates who are in their final years may also apply for the same provisionally.
- Age-limit: Candidates who are born between 01st October 1996 and 30th September 2004, inclusive of the both dates.
- Nationality: Citizens of India (female candidates who are spinster/ divorced/ legally separated/ widow without any encumbrances.)
- Physical standards: Medical fitness will be subject to determination as per the standards applicable for Commission in the Armed Forces.
The selection procedure will be comprising of an objection type computer-based examination (CBE) going to held in the month of April 2021 with allotted time duration of 1 hour 30 minutes. On the basis of Merit list, the qualified candidates will be called for interview in the month of June 2021. The ultimate selection will be based on the combined merit of marks scored in CBE and interview which will be subject to medical fitness.
The application fee regarding the same is Rs. 750/- to be paid via online mode. The submission for online application form will be commencing from 17th February 2021 till 10th March 2021. For more updates, stay tuned at the official website www.joinindian.army.nic.in.
