All India Institute of Ayurveda (AIIA) is working on starting Ayurvedic nursing as a supplement for the B.Sc (Allopathy) nursing course, or nurses trained under Allopathy can opt for 1-year training in Ayurveda.

Currently, India has the B.Sc-Ayurveda nursing diploma degree after passing the 12th grade, with a few diploma courses also. A proposal is being reviewed by the Indian Board of Nursing for adding the prescribed syllabus to the BSc.

Ayurvedic Training as a component, hence no separate degrees are required for the core Ayurvedic practices. AIIA, the leading institute of Ayurveda Research, prepared the syllabus and submitted it to INC for approval.
