Bijjurani Gogoi a nurse is under treatment in AMCH Dibrugarh district fighting with ghastly COVID-19 is on her verge of death needs blood plasma as her last hope of treatment as per the doctor’s decision. It is declared that there is no plasma in stock in their hospital or nearby any other hospitals.

Dr.Bhaskar Papukon Gogoi a physician cum social worker gets into action to help the nurse arranged a single unit of blood plasma at Guwahati medical college and hospital. There started the first step for the race as Dibrugarh is 480 km away
from Guwahati.

Dr. Bhaskar approached Marwari Yuva Manch (MYM) a Marwari youth volunteer organization having members all over India since this Dr.Bhaskar is a known one to them they join hands to help the nurse. But still, the problem remains there because Assam – consistently COVID-19 positive cases are active inter-district travel is not permitted and time restriction from 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM is ordered now the project is in a high risk to operate and heavy rain in Assam is one more challenge added, but these COVID-19 warriors get into action by uniting their other members in the neighbor district and form a plan.

According to this on Friday (7-08-20) around 10.30 PM, an icebox packed with plasma is picked up by one of a Marwari volunteer from Guwahati Medical college and the dead race started and run along Nagaon, Bokakhat, Jorhat, Sivasagar, Moran, and it reached Dibrugarh at 6.30 AM on Saturday.

In each district, it changed to other hands, and successfully they finished this race in Dibrugarh. Dr. Bhaskar Papukon Gogoi at the final end has received the plasma and at right time they injected to the nurse Bijjurani Gogoi giving a second life to continue her service life.
