On October 16, home minister Amit Shah will introduce medical education in Hindi, releasing translated MBBS first-year books. It is being launched in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh.

According to CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan, this is the first time in India that MBBS will be taught in Hindi. "It will alter the notion that Hindi cannot be used to learn or teach engineering or medical subjects. He also quoted that, this is a step toward making the notion that education in Hindi may also help one advance in life a reality.

Shah will publish medical books in Hindi on anatomy, biochemistry, and physiology. The CM continued, "Prime Minister Narendra Modi is adamant that education should be delivered in the student's mother tongue.

According to CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan, the MP government is also producing Hindi-language books for engineering and technical education.
