We are living in a world where the medicinal field is of utmost importance. India is trying continuously to achieve excellence in the concerned field. Accordingly, the Yamuna Expressway Authority has now reserved land for manufacturing units. This area falls in the Medical Device Park located in Noida. Earlier in September, Yamuna Authority decided to develop Uttar Pradesh’s first medical device park in Noida. The area assigned to manufacturing units amounts to 60% of the total land.
UP Government has selected YEIDA as the sole authorized agency for the project. It is to be built in sector 28. Around 350 acres land along the Yamuna Expressway has been allocated for the project.
The authorities claimed that the project will generate more than Rs 5000 crores of the venture. KIHT, Vizag is supporting the venture by assisting YEIDA.
Kalam Institute of Health Technology or KIHT is an Andhra Pradesh based institute built in the honor of Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam. Arun Vir Singh, CEO of YEIDA, commented on the project and also informed regarding the meeting held recently. The meeting was centered on allocating the funds and resources for the development of Sector 28. Currently, they are doing a thorough study of the project reports. The park project will cost around Rs 400 crores and will start in 2021.
He also told about the inquiries being made by X-RAY machine manufacturers and syringe producers who want to expand their organization. Most of the inquiries are made by companies based in the Delhi-NCR region.
The Union government will inject Rs 1,000 crore in the venture once YEIDA begins accomplishing the achievements. Not long ago, the public authority had endorsed the plan of setting up three mass drug parks and four medical parks across the nation.
The total proposition put forward from various agencies throughout the country were around 18. Ultimately, YEIDA also submitted the proposal on behalf of UP and was chosen out of them. The authorities stated that in stage I of the plan, YEIDA will hand more than 120 plots, while in the subsequent stage, the goal is to make 90 additional plots.
