Kerala witnesses a great outrage within the AYUSH department as the Ayurveda practitioners have not worked out positively with the recent order passed by the High Court which interdicts the department to prescribe any medicine in the name of a cure of COVID-19 vaccine. The notice further mentioned strict action against the violators. For the same, the court has guided the clinical and police departments to screen the activities of AYUSH clinical professionals.
The order came up after a petition was registered by M S Vineeth claiming homeopathy to be a better treatment for the disease. The petitioner believes homeopathy to be a potential cure for the disease.
The department believes it to be an order in answer to the proclamation of the National Clinical Management Protocol based on Ayurveda and Yoga for the management of Covid-19 by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.
The Kerala Government Ayurveda Medical Officers’ Federation (KGAMOF) has given a look into the matter and has taken it up to the Ministry of Health and Welfare.
As indicated by the AYUSH clinical experts, scientific assessment made against COVID-19 has revealed positive outcomes with Ayurvedic therapies and medication. The doctors claim that the submitted success report was not considered by the government so far.
