A letter was addressed to the Controller of Examinations of WBUHS by the Director of Health Services, Government of West Bengal which notifies all UG and PG nursing students about the upcoming University Examinations to be withheld soon due to the regularization of the Covid 19 situation prevailing in West Bengal.
The higher authorities came upon this decision mainly due to the students’ academic situation and to ensure that they receive bona fide mark sheets considering their future. The examinations are to be held following University protocols and rules like they were held before the Covid-19 pandemic.
In his letter, The Director of Health Services said, “It has been decided by the higher authorities that students of all years of Generic B.Sc. Nursing, Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing and M.Sc. Nursing Courses have to sit for examinations conducted by the WBUHS for the academic year 2020-21 as at present the Covid situation has normalized and the importance of authentic mark sheets should be considered for students’ future.”
However, the notice also mentioned that students will be given a preparation period as per norms of WBUHS so there is no requirement for panic amongst them.
The copy has been forwarded to The Vice-Chancellor, The Pro-Vice-Chancellor, The Registrar, The Assistant Controller of Examinations, and others for information and needful measures.
Thus, it is requested to all the concerned students studying under the University to check the tentative examination calendar as released by WBUHS on its official website.
