In recent times, it has been noted that nurses are facing troubles not only in some area but across the country. Their voices are ignored continuously. Their efforts are under-minded. A similar situation was witnessed in Rajasthan, where nurses from across the state including the ones from the Dhaulpur district staged a protest against authorities.
According to the Nurses’ Association, they had sent the memorandum containing their demands. Representatives of the nurses association also informed that their requests were totally ignored during the Budget Session 2021. The negligence by authorities has forced them to come forward and announce state-wide with division-wise protest from April 5.
The nurses pointed out several requests during the protest. The one-day protest was organized outside the Sawai Mansingh Medical College Gate in Jaipur. The protest was led by State President, Rajendra Singh Rana.
The nurses also proclaimed that the Chief Minister announced the Corona incentive scheme, but they did not receive any benefits from the scheme. The committee for the regularisation of contractual nurses and increase in honorarium was also formed. But still, the issue is unresolved.
Mukesh Sharma, District Vice President, said that these nurses worked risking their lives during the corona period. It is injustice towards them. This movement has support from these:-
- State Nurses Association President, Khushiram Meena
- The Nursing Teachers Association of India, State President Purshottam Kumbhaj
- NHM Association State President, Suresh Chavda
- Employees Federation Union
Rajendra Singh Rana also criticized the Government’s press release involving the nurses working in Election Management. The memorandum was sent to Chief Minister, Medical Minister, and Principal Secretary.
