With the rising pace of Covid cases especially in some states of the country, amongst which Kerala is one of them where Spice Health in collaboration with Kerala Medical Service Corporation Limited (KMSCL) on 25th March has launched mobile testing laboratories in few districts of Kerala namely Palakkad, Kasaragod and Thrissur districts for conducting Real-Time Polymerase Chain Reaction (RT-PCR) tests.
Spice Health company has also asserted that the National Accreditation Board for Testing and Calibration Laboratories (NABL) and Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) has officially given recognition to these mobile testing laboratories, where each of the lab can conduct 3,000 tests per day. These mobile labs were launched only with the ultimate aim so as to augment testing in the state, said by Avani Singh, CEO of Spice Health.
A healthcare company, Spice Health launched by the promoters of SpiceJet has also rendered facility of mobile testing laboratories at a reasonable cost of Rs.499 as compare to that of in Delhi which was Rs.2,400 at that time, where in India in November 2020 there was a time where the pace of covid pandemic was so infectious, also the test results were accessible within a span of six hours in comparison with existing time span of 24-28 hours.
Spice Health is the one of first and the foremost healthcare company to launch this resourceful concept of mobile testing laboratories which can be placed in remote areas, containment zone where there is hardly any access to hospitals and medical services.
